Speeding 

The penalty for speeding is usually between 3 and 6 penalty points, and a fine.

However, a discretionary period of disqualification can be imposed.

As a rule of thumb, speeds in excess of 60mph in a 30 mph area will attract a ban, as will speeds in excess of 90mph on a 60mph carriageway, and speeds in excess of 100mph on a 70mph carriageway.
